A Special Thank You to Volunteers

Thank you for giving your valuable time and talents to help those in need this past Thanksgiving. Your efforts in support of the 2012 Feeding The 5000: Thanksgiving Outreach made it an overwhelming success. Volunteer and financial support poured in from throughout the community making our outreach mission truly a community effort to help those in need.

Here are some of the highlights of what we were able to accomplish together:

• 414 turkeys cooked and served (over 6,000 pounds)
• 8,000 pounds of side dishes prepared and served
• Over 700 volunteers (with over 200 young volunteers including cub scout and girl scout troops )
• 6700 meals prepared for families in need with 6300 delivered to their homes
• Over 30,000 total meals provided by the Feeding the 5000 outreach mission over the past 5 years
